Will be an August born dd3. No Christmas connection (other than conception!! Grin ) Other dd's are Katie and Erin. What do you think? Is Holly very popular? Surname also begins with H so that is my other concern.....

I think it's lovely Grin

I love the name Holly.

My dd has a friend named Holly and everyone assumes her birthday is in December, when it isn't.

But it is a gorgeous name, as is Elizabeth.

Beautiful name! Love it!

Holly is a lovely name :)

Personally not so keen on Elizabeth and there's quite a lot of "l" with the names combined. But it's a classic name and if you love it, use it!

TinkerMaloo · 21/05/2012 19:51

Lovely :)

Holly Elizabeth matches your daughters' names very well - it's a good choice.

Is Elizabeth a family name or in honour of the Jubilee?

Whatevertheweather · 21/05/2012 20:12

Dp pointed out the jubilee connection too Stellan Smile - I hadn't thought of that just thought they sounded nice together.

I also like Robyn but dp not keen and he likes Penny but I'm not keen. Holly is the only one we both like at the moment so pleased at the positive response! Thank you Smile

With Robin Gibb's passing, there might be some more baby boy Robins born this year now the name is back in the media. Robin always makes me think of the little bird and Christopher Robin!

Penny is very sweet but I only really like it as a nickname for Penelope, which you might like instead.

Holly is a fine choice though - good luck and congratulations!

Holly is a lovely name - the only one of the 'ie/y' ending names that have deluged the baby-name market in the last 5 years that I have any time for. I think the reason I have more time for it is because it isn't a diminutive for anything the way Ellie, Milly, Molly, Tilly, Evie, Daisy (yawn) etc, etc, ad nauseum are; but rather a stand alone name.

I don't think of it as a Christmas name at all. But I suppose that might be because where I'm from, holly is around in June. Wink

Lovely choice.

Lovely names, go well together, mixture of classic and more modern
