Boys
Aaron
Jason
Kyle
Oliver
Robin
Toby

Girls
Anya
Emily
Iona
Jasmine
Leila
Megan

Only Robin from the boys' list.
Anya and Iona from the girls' list.

My favourites are Aaron, Oliver, Emily, Jasmine and Megan.

Aaron - like, pronounced Air-on not Arran
Jason - too 80s Jason Donovan
Kyle - not keen
Oliver - like, nice classic name
Robin - don't like, sounds "wet"
Toby - OK as nickname for Tobias but a bit posh

Anya - like
Emily - like
Iona - like
Jasmine - like
Leila - don't like
Megan - like

applepieinthesky · 07/05/2012 16:08

I like all your girls names especially Emily and Anya which are both very pretty. I would like to use Emily myself but I have a close family member with that name so can't use it.

I like Oliver for a boy. Aaron and Kyle are ok but not keen on the others sorry.

welovesausagedogs · 07/05/2012 16:44

I like
Toby/Oliver

Iona/Jasmine

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 07/05/2012 16:49

Aaron - really don't like this
Jason - no
Kyle - no
Oliver - nice, but very popular
Robin - quite sweet
Toby - the best of your choices

Anya - pretty and not too popular
Emily - nice
Iona - no
Jasmine - no
Leila - not my taste, but ok
Megan - nice

I'd go with Tobias (nn Toby) and either Anya or Emily

StuntNun · 07/05/2012 16:56

HolyCamera I'm leaning towards Anya Emily because then she would have the same initials as me which I kind of like (although it would get annoying with the post!)

Bet it's a boy to match DS1 and DS2.

Thanks for all your comments, keep 'em coming I won't take offence if you don't like them.

I like Toby and Oliver. Agree with BBQ that Robin sounds a bit wet

Anya and Emily are my favourites from your girls names, Don't especially like Jasmine, but the others are ok.

MrsPlanB · 07/05/2012 18:55

Toby nn for Tobias is OK.

Jason and Kyle are 80s-tastic and not nice at all

Robin is awful for a boy, but Robyn for a girl is cool.

Oliver is OK.

Love Anya.

Emily is a good, classic name and Leila is pretty.

Iona not bad.

Megan is a bit wet. prefer Margaret. Yasmin far nicer than jasmine.

Montsti · 07/05/2012 18:57

I love Oliver, Anya and Emily. Aaron is ok, but not keen on any of the others..

MarySA · 07/05/2012 18:57

Not keen on any from the boys list. Anya Iona and Jasmine are OK from the girls list. Have you any more names?

Angellight · 07/05/2012 19:10

Like all girls names love Megan
boys dont like so much Toby and Oliver at a push .

StuntNun · 07/05/2012 19:28

Aargh MarySA you have no idea how long it took me to put together those 12! Blush

Baby isn't due until November so at the moment I'm trying to get together a list of names I like, then any new ideas or suggestions can be compared against something. Otherwise it's just a case of me saying Name1 and DH saying no, then me saying Name2 then DH saying no etc. He'll want James (it's his middle name) but as our surname begins with S, I'm not keen on the double s sound especially as DH had a bad lisp as a child. That's also why I've put Toby rather than Tobias.

Definitely leaning towards Anya for a girls name which DH will like as he's a big Buffy fan!

Anya is on my list of 'maybes'! I like Emily, but it is so popular now... I kinda thought about Amelie...? What do you think?

Toby is what I would choose from the boys names. It goes well with your other boys names! Oliver maybe, but again, its SO freakin' popular!

Nowt wrong with popular names, but I called DS Ethan 10 years ago as I wanted a name that was heard of, but not mega popular. Well, that year it became much much much more used! Arghhhh! I want the same for this one - and will have to pray that the same doesn't happen Grin

My top boys names are Noah/Jonah/Oscar by the way. Oh, and Max. Except DP stole that name!!!

StuntNun · 08/05/2012 08:35

Detective I like Amelie, I had been contemplating Amelia (big True Blood fan) but Amelie is much prettier.

Aaron- dont like
Jason- ok though do just think Donovan!
Kyle - dont like
Oliver -ok but very popular
Robin -dont like (though do likeRobyn for a girl!)
Toby - like!

Anya - like
Emily - ok
Iona- dont like
Jasmine - nah
Leila - ok though prefer Layla
Megan - ok though dont like Meg

Know an Amelia who has just been born as well as an Alice, Molly, and Charlotte.
Boys wise, I currently like Max, Dominic, Leon, Tobias, and Jack.

PestoPenguin · 08/05/2012 12:43

Oliver
Robin
Toby

Emily
Iona
Megan

PercyFilth · 08/05/2012 12:45

I agree with Robin being a bit wet for a bloke.

But what about Robert? A good tough masculine name with softer nn options - Rob/Robbie, Bob/Bobby, even Bertie.
