What are your thoughts on this name?

Really love this name, getting very popular.

The pronunciation in English shouldn't be a great problem, I think. However, in most other languages (German, Spanish, French etc) it would be pronounced EES-la. Worth bearing in mind for the future (who knows where your dd might study or work one day).

I don't know any Islas (Surrey). I think of the Spanish island, Isla (pronounced Eesla).

It's a lovely name but quite popular, Iona is good too.

Oh, Iona is lovely. Much nicer than Isla and works well in all languages too!

I like it though when I put i on list oh pronounced it is- la. I've never met one

I love it, I know a beautiful little girl with the name, but only the one.

Isla a pretty unexceptional name in Scotland, granted it is quite popular these days, but not overused, as it were.
