Lotta - any ideas what this could be short for?!

I LOVE Lotta, should this bump turn out to be of the pink variety, but my DH says I am 'ridiculous' (not the first of my suggestions to be met with this response). Grrrr. Anyway, can anyone think of anything other than Charlotte (which, though a nice name is not one I would choose for a number of reasons) that Lotta could feasibly be short for? Any suggestions warmly welcomed. Thanks

Lotte (prn Lotta) is a dutch / german name in it's own right, Lotta origninally a nn for Charlotte. Love it!

Thanks very much for all your suggestions . As luck would have it our surname is not Laffs, but it IS almost comically English, so I don't think we could carry off Lieselotte et al... I am going to try pushing Carlotta! Charlotte would be perfect really, but as a teacher there are some associations from years gone by that I just can't shake!

What about Charlotta? Unless that's too similar to Charlotte. I know a little girl with this name (usually goes by Lotta).

How do you get Lotta from Daisy?

I love the name though, OP. Its the name of the little girl in Upstairs Downstairs who is very pretty.
