Surname Downes

Siblings called Max,George and Tabitha.

4th baby,there's none I particularly am in love with,dh is suggesting Cillian and Ivor,neither of which I like (Ivor is bloody awful!)

BBay not due for another 4 months so plenty of time,but all the others i had names for before my first scan!

Cillian is lovely! Cillian Downes sounds great and goes well with his siblings' names. Agree that Ivor isn't great. I do like Ivan though.

You can't have Ivor Downes, as it sounds too much like eiderdowns! (...Mind you, perhaps most people don't know what they are, now that we all use duvets?)

We know a Cillian and I must admit I can't get over it basically being Kill + Ian. Also, you know it'll obviously get shortened to "Kill" at school, which isn't great.

Downes is a tricky surname to work with, isn't it? Ben would be ridiculous and I thought of Edward, but then realised it'll probably get shortened to Ed Downes (head down), so my suggestions would be: Toby, Henry, Alistair/Alec, Ralph or Angus (nn Gus).
