A nice list.
(Is Ruby and Millie a make up brand??)
I like Maddison and Evie the best I think. I also like Pippa but now it makes me think of Pippa Middleton, which is a shame.

networkjunkie · 28/04/2012 18:12

Millie and Bella
Millie and Rosa
Millie and Lola

Doubletroublemummy2 · 28/04/2012 18:29

How about Isabelle, Millie and Issie?

MrsPlugThePlumber · 28/04/2012 18:31

You can't have Ruby & Millie!!!!

wigglesrock · 28/04/2012 20:19

I have 3 dds and two of them have names from your list Grin What about Anna?

cece · 28/04/2012 20:27

Evie - prefer Eve, otherwise both have same ending
Ruby - with Millie? make up!
Pippa - like
Olivia - OK
Maddison - dreadful
Sophia - like

Suggestions

Poppy
Verity
Anna
Thea
Helena
Clara

I think it would be better not to have another ie ending though.

MariahScary · 28/04/2012 20:35

I prefer Livia to Olivia.

Maddison is awful.

The others are all perfectly nice but a but dull.

Millie and:

Harriet/Hattie
Anna / Annie
Verity
Erin
Polly
Francesca / Frankie
Cora
Flora
Niamh
Daisy
Isla
Belle
Jessamine/Jessie

Millie and...

Laura
Katherine/Katie
Zara
Annabel
Bethany
Cara
Beatrice
Estella
Julianna

MoonHare · 29/04/2012 21:38

Sophia is the best one from your list. Please don't go with Maddison.

Lexiesgirl · 29/04/2012 21:53

Evie is gorgeous. Livia (rather than Olivia) is great too. Also agree with the previous poster who suggested Anna - Millie and Anna has a lovely ring to it.

oikopolis · 29/04/2012 22:28

please please please don't use Maddison, or any variation on that name! it's truly dreadful, sorry!

the other names suggested so far are much better. also, the other names on your list are perfectly useable.

generally i'm not keen on nicknames-as-names, but since you already have a Millie it would be a bit silly to avoid another nickname for this child.

CaoNiMa · 30/04/2012 05:24

They're all pretty middle-of-the-road, but I'd avoid Maddison as it's hideous.

rhibutterfly · 30/04/2012 06:22

Standing here in my flame resistant overalls- I like Millie and Maddison, rolls off the tongue easily :)

somewherewest · 01/05/2012 09:12

Evie - a little cute maybe? Imagine them as a 40 something investment banker and ask yourself would it work
Ruby - ditto, but not to the same extent
Pippa - quite posh
Olivia - ditto
Maddison - very not posh (sorry!).
Sophia - I love it, but they will end up being Sophie

guccigirly · 01/05/2012 09:24

A child's name is a very personal thing and other people will always have an opinion as to why they don't like a name you have chosen. Don't let people put you off what you want to call your child. My DD is called Madison. She is very elegant, beautifully spoken and people always comment on how lovely she is. Shorten your list to 5 names and decide on the day. Best of luck x

welovesausagedogs · 01/05/2012 09:35

The comments saying names sound babyish now are just us thinking of adults with these names today. But when these children are adults the majority of them will be called names like Olivia, Evie, Rosie, Poppy, Isabel etc because they are in the top 100 for 2011, 2010 etc so say a typical adults name today is Amanda if we called someone born in 2012 amanda it would be out of the ordinary and people would think it was odd. Just go with what you like, my favourites are Ruby and Evie.

Positiveplus · 01/05/2012 13:41

Evie - not keen, prefer Ava or Eva
Ruby - not keen
Pippa - nope, too 'posh' for me!
Olivia - really nice but very popular
Maddison - dont like, prefer Madeline
Sophia - lovely, though prefer Sophie

How about:
Poppy
Nancy
Beatrice
Anya

The Millie I know of has a sister called Lydia.

seeker · 01/05/2012 13:43

Edith?

guccigirly · 01/05/2012 15:11

What about Grace?

greenandcabbagelooking · 01/05/2012 19:02

I know a Millie and Evie, Milly and Elleanor, Milly and Charlotte and Millie and Jennifer.

If that helps...

badtime · 02/05/2012 12:47

guccigirly, there is a world of difference between Madison and Maddison. The former is the standard spelling, and it has an 80s power dressing (or mermaid!) vibe. It may still be unpopular (probably 'dated' or something), but it is an actual name.
Maddison (like Madasyn, Madisan etc) is a non-standard spelling, and people are often very judgemental about names. like that.

enitan90 · 02/05/2012 22:31

Milliemoomummy how about calling her a name that's starts with M to match het sisters. I can't think of many right now
May?
Mercedes?
Matilda?
Magda?
Maxine?
Mollie?
