Thought I should share this after it came up on my antenatal thread - it's like the American baby name wizard but with UK names. Genius!

I saw this, i will use it for the next dc, dd2's name is far too common, i wish i had something like this when naming her!

Popoozle · 27/04/2012 14:18

That's actually really cool - I am assuming it recognises every name registered rather than just names where 3 or more have been registered. There can't have been more than one Ashton-Thomas in 2010 surely?

bigbluebump · 27/04/2012 14:18

The ONS lists (from which the tool is made) have been freely available for years. Every year it lists ALL baby names given (well, those used at least twice I think).

Popoozle · 27/04/2012 14:24

Oh, I just relooked. There were 3 Ashton-Thomas' in 2010! I wonder if they know each other?

welovesausagedogs · 27/04/2012 20:05

This is so cool, and i love the design of it too. Only 50 babies born with the same name as my son when he was born.

gallicgirl · 27/04/2012 20:23

When are the official stats out for 2011 anyway?

BBQJuly · 27/04/2012 20:23

Great to see a UK version!

bruffin · 27/04/2012 20:28

It's a pain to type in though. I touch type but if a hesitate for a moment it wipes out what I have typed and start half way through the name.

LilRedWG · 27/04/2012 20:30

My name is down to 2843rd thank God!

breadandhoney · 27/04/2012 20:33

This doesn't cover the whole of the UK. Anyone know if there is something similar for Northern Ireland and Scotland?
