"rudie nudie" is what you are in our house when you are in the bath Blush

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 18/04/2012 22:19

Yeah we do that too but in our case it has extra special meaning Grin

evamummy · 18/04/2012 22:20

Rudy, pronounced rude-y? No, too rude imo.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 18/04/2012 22:21

How else would you pronounce it?

5madthings · 18/04/2012 22:25

our Rudi is also after the specials song, we play it for him and sing along to it Grin

and we also say 'nudey rudey' when our kids are naked, which they often are, and well it just has more meaning for Rudi as is is a nudey rudi! he LOVES his name :)

after the last debate on gansta connections i actually googled gansta clothes for toddlers, just for a laugh, but didnt find anything suitable :(

but given that my rudi has spent the past few days with a blanket shoved up his jumper so he has a big tummy like father christmas i am not sure he will ever be much of a gangsta :(

evamummy · 18/04/2012 22:26

Rud-y like Rudyard would be an alternative, I guess.

5madthings · 18/04/2012 22:28

can i ask why the question 'not traditional enough' in the op, its quite an old germanic name, i know a rudi in his 60's its not that popular in the uk but is much more common in germany and some other european countries, its certainly not a 'new' name.

you havent met my rudi! Grin

i assume you mean pinch him! lol at pitch him Grin tho i do feel like pitching my rudi out the window at times.... he is lovely, but incredibly stubborn, ie 40 mins the other night sat at the table refusing to even pick up his fork at dinner time as he wanted a kinder egg instead! i said he could have a kinder egg if he ate some dinner, he didnt eat any dinner, he sat with his arms folded looking at the wall all through dinner, he seemed to forget about the kinder egg tho and just went to bed having eaten nothing, strange boy.
