As my husband and i both have middle names that start with an 'A', we thought we'd give all are dc's 'A' middle names as well.
So far we have an Ayla, Ashton and Amber.
We have near enough decided on the name Ava for our 4th, but are now stuck on a nice 'A' name to go with her forename.
Would love some help on choosing a name please :)

Congratulations
.
Ava sounds very close to Ayla - is Ayla your daughter's middle name or her first name? If it is her first name, re-think Ava - they sound quite similar.

It's hard to find an A name that goes with Ava as it's so short but maybe you'll like:
Ava Abigail
Ava Adelaide
Ava Alexandra
Ava Alison
Ava Angeline
Ava Angelique
Ava Antonia
Ava Aspen
Ava Audrey
Ava Aurelia

I think it depends on your surname which will work best.

Stellan · 10/04/2012 13:48

Angharad - as suggested above - works really well.

CheshireDing · 10/04/2012 21:56

Anastacia?

McFluffster · 10/04/2012 21:59

I love Angelica.

Surely I can't be the only one who thinks this is horribly twee? I went to school with a girl from a family of "J" names, and she used to get the piss ripped out of her.

Stellan · 11/04/2012 09:32

I think the original poster is giving all of her children middle names beginning with A. From what I gather, it's just happenstance that Ava (i.e. a name beginning with A) is the name she has picked for her fourth child. I don't think most people would pick up on the connection if it's that subtle - it's too hidden to be twee.

CherryBlossom27 · 11/04/2012 11:32

CaoNiMa - really? I went to school with plenty of families with the same initial and no-one thought about it! I did know an A, B and C family, oldest child's name began with A, middle child B and youngest C.

I really like Ava Ashton it has a nice ring to it.

Ava Alanna(h)
Ava Alexia
Ava Amelie
Ava Anise/Annissa (An-Neece/An-Neece-ah)
Ava Aibileen (yes, just read The Help and just think it's a lovely name which suits Ava)
Ava Aliyah

Love suggestion of Ava Ariadne from oldqueenie (I've always adored the name Ariadne).
