Wow, loads of replies! Smile

I already went for it; Peter is 2mo now Grin, but I just wondered what people thought, no-one says what they REALLY think after you actually named the child!

Bella, I'd pronounce Pieter the same as Peter, and I think most would do the same. Perhaps some might think it was Pie -ter, as in apple pie?! But they'd be the minority I reckon

Lovely name, my grandfather was Peter. He was the kindest, most caring man you could hope to meet. A true gentleman.

DS1 has it as his middle name Smile

Bellaholland · 06/04/2012 16:26

Ahhh lovely!

lagartija · 07/04/2012 10:42

terrier I'm Lucy Elizabeth and my brother is Peter! Glad these names are coming back. I'm 37.

GinPalace · 07/04/2012 10:44

Love it! I may be biased by the rather gorgeous ozzy guy I had a fling with on my travels who was one of the best people you could wish to meet

MyBaby1day · 07/04/2012 22:25

NO!, I definately don't like it (no offense to anyone with a Peter) but it's too old. Also it reminds me of tragic little baby Peter Connelly Sad (who if I could have I would have adopted and re-named-Brandon) Smile

peter gabriel, peter purvis Grin, peter perrett, peter fonda, peter sellers

it's a cool name

blondieminx · 07/04/2012 22:29

I love it! If we ever have a DS it will be the middle name, after DH's grandpa who is the loveliest man Smile

exoticfruits · 07/04/2012 22:47

Lovely.

Lovely name.

I have a Peter and I really like it (obviously). I also like the fact that he's the only one in the school but it's still a "normal" name. I dislike "Pete" though. He suited it as a baby and he's 7 now.

carabos · 08/04/2012 23:01

It's DH's middle name. It's nice, if a bit Enid Blyton.

SpringSprungWinterAgain · 08/04/2012 23:11

Love it
