I wouldn't, personally. Too similar.

manicinsomniac · 01/04/2012 23:31

I think they sound nice together.

And Hayley is lovely, and quite unusual nowadays.

I wouldn't spell it Hayleigh though, it looks like a mouthful somehow!

scarlettsmummy2 · 01/04/2012 23:32

Automatically thought of hayley from coronation street.

Tonksforthememories · 01/04/2012 23:33

I know a family where the women are Hayley, Holly, and Hannah. Lovely family but i keep getting confused as to which names belong to the girls, and which is mum!

nooka · 01/04/2012 23:33

Too matchy matchy for me. If you do go for it Hayley rather than Hayleigh.

Tommy · 01/04/2012 23:35

not a big fan of siblings with same initial - much easier if you can put just one inital on things and a nightmare when they are older and start receiving private letters

cheesesarnie · 01/04/2012 23:47

one of my family members is hayleigh, her sibling is another h name and they often opened the wrong post.

LadyWithEDS · 01/04/2012 23:50

I like them together.

justhayley · 02/04/2012 10:14

I'm a Hayley and if my Brother was a sister he was going to be a Hannah. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I like my spelling but have had cards with it Spelt hayleigh which I'm not keen on or haley - also not a fan. I don't think Hayley is used much these days but I really like my name and if I wasn't one would consider it.

zipzap · 02/04/2012 12:03

Too similar sorry. Hannah's lovely, not so keen on hayley. (and definitely not hayleigh. Which my phone spellcheck wants to turn into Hayley).

And nicknames from the two could get even more similar especially if they both end up going down the 'H' route. Not to mention post confusion.

Have you got any other names you're considering?

lovebunny · 02/04/2012 12:10

hayley and hannah is fine. don't mis-spell it on purpose, her teachers will snigger behind your back.

NagooBunnytail · 02/04/2012 12:23

Not Hayleigh.

I think they are too similar, you might fumble over which DC you are trying to talk to Grin

rhibutterfly · 02/04/2012 13:17

was just a suggestion as im desperate now cant think of a single name i love, im afraid i'll pop the poor thing out and she'll be nameless for weeks, family suggestions have been Isabelle/Isabella,Gracie,Poppy and Summer

Emily? That goes nicely with Hannah IMO.

CremeEggThief · 02/04/2012 17:03

I think all your family members' suggestions go better with Hannah than Hayley, to be honest.

rhibutterfly · 02/04/2012 17:41

ok lol hayleys out, Emily is lovely, any more?

NotInMyDay · 02/04/2012 18:29

Jessica

Charlotte

DoubleGlazing · 02/04/2012 19:40

Hayley is lovely and would be fine with Hannah :) Would spell Hayley not Hayleigh. I like all of the family suggestions too.

CecilyP · 02/04/2012 20:07

Too samey for my taste. But that's just me, so if you do decide to go for it, please stick with the Hayley spelling.

evamummy · 03/04/2012 10:45

Hannah and Hayley is lovely together imo. Different sounding names, despite the same initial.

rhibutterfly · 04/04/2012 09:42
