Just curious, anyone like any names with a floral theme for girls. Just doing some research - hope I get to use it but can't count any chickens!

I loved Daisy, but had a boy in the end, and I dont think he would have thanked me for it!

If DC2 is a girl (pretty sure she is) then she will be Violet, i also like lavender but DH not keen.

Indith · 31/03/2012 09:28

I have a Daisy. Well, actually she is Margaret but we tend to use the diminutive Daisy.

I like Rosalind or Rosemary

Iris is great, or Ivy. Ivy is the oldest woman in my village and she is ace Grin.

Bryony is good.

Hazel

I once knew a Tulip. Kind if cool.

FondleWithCare · 31/03/2012 09:54

Daisy, Rose, Violet, Ivy, Fern, Primrose, Petunia (please don't!)

jaffacakehips · 31/03/2012 09:55

Rose, Violet, Iris are all lovely.

jaffacakehips · 31/03/2012 09:56

Whist I like Poppy and Daisy IMO they feel a bit wishy washy! Saying that I know several babies call Poppy and Daisy and it does work!

My great-grandmother's Aunt was called Chrysanthemum! I'm not recommending it to you though. DD1 is Rose - easier to spell.

PuppyMonkey · 31/03/2012 10:12

I've got an Esme Bluebell. She was born in spring. Smile

welovesausagedogs · 31/03/2012 11:20

My little girl is called Ivy

I also like Iris, Rosie, Daisy, Poppy, Romy (sea dew), Clover, Posy, Lily, Violette

Italiangreyhound · 31/03/2012 11:34

Wow, thanks so much for the replies.

I love Bluebell.

Also love Juniper, Fleur and Jasmin.

Keep them coming, please, if you can think of any.

I do so hope I get to use a new name!

Many thanks.

I LOVE Phlox. I tried and tried to get it for DD but failed. DH vetoed it, as did everyone except DH's sister who loved it too.

Still hanker to call DD Phlox.

Sigh.
