Can't think of what goes with it really, I'm stumped. Surname is one syllable if it helps.

Thanks

Lydia Jane or Lydia May
Like Lydia Charlotte too

Catsmamma · 30/03/2012 21:21

i don't think you can use May as a middle name.....Lydia may what?? Fly to the moon, eat a spider, be the first female US president

according to dh the only middle name for Lydia is "oh lydia, oh have you seen lydia, oh lydia the tattooed lady" which is why my dd has Lydia as a middle name...I wish I had stood my ground!!

joymaker · 30/03/2012 21:22

girlie like 'May' (as does DP) and 'Rose' but somehow feel too old fashioned. Plus all my nieces seem to have Rose as one of their middle names. not really keen on the rest if I'm honest.

I love the name Lydia, and think Lydia Clare would be beautiful.

sarararararah · 30/03/2012 21:23

My DD (4 next week!) is Lydia Rose. I hadn't realised how popular Rose was as a middle name at the time though. However, I still love both her names and think one syllable middle name really works with Lydia as first name.

fay1971 · 30/03/2012 21:24

My DD is Lydia Grace

Lydia Mary or Lydia Alice are really nice too.

ggirltwin2pinot · 30/03/2012 21:27

Lydia Susana
Lydia Helen
Lydia Katharine
Lydia (any middle name from a beloved family grandparent etc)

girliefriend · 30/03/2012 21:29

Hmm Lydia is quite old fashioned as names go so I would think anything too modern would sound a bit of an odd mix iykwim?

syncopated · 30/03/2012 21:29

Lydia Grace is lovely

joymaker · 30/03/2012 21:44

From the suggestions I do like:
Lydia Grace- but niece is Grace
Lidia Clare - a very good friend is named Clare
Francis is my Ds's middle name Smile but would have suited very nicely.
Lydia Katherine - though surname begins with a Q so sounds a bit 'sharp' to my ears.
Lydia Alice I think I like the best so far...

Sorry, I can't resist:

Lydia Dustbin

MerryMarigold · 30/03/2012 21:51

I don't think ending in a vowel and starting with a vowel is good. Middle name should start with a consonant. Sorry bit tired to think of one though!

MerryMarigold · 30/03/2012 21:52

Lydia Cerys

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 30/03/2012 21:52

I have a Lydia Athene Smile

Nothing wrong with May as a middle name! It's my sister's middle name actually, and it sounds fine.

Rocketfox · 30/03/2012 22:03

Lydia Alice is wrong. IMHO. Too vowelly in the middle. Lydia Anne however, strangely works aurally. May sound a bit like an old ladies lingerie range though.
Lydia Catherine/Charlotte/Clementine(?!) is good.

You have good taste also - there's another thread with someone asking about Claudia - my No. 1 name, and Lydia my No. 2!

I like Lydia Charlotte or Lydia Grace or Lydia Nicole.
