What could Annie be short for?

DH and I have always loved the name Annie for a girl. But I don't like the idea of using a shortened name as the actual name on the birth certificate. Any ideas for what a long version of Annie could be? We don't like Annabel I'm afraid...

Smicha I have a female relative whose full name was Annie but known as Nancy all her life!

Not sure if you've already had the baby, but just thought I would say it's useful if the name & nick name have the same initial (for post & personalised things) also for the person who had an Annie grandmother known as Nancy I found this on Wikipedia, I had no idea!

'The name Nancy was originally a diminutive form of Annis, a medieval English vernacular form of Agnes. In some English dialects, "mine" was used instead of "my" and "Mine Ancy" eventually became Nancy. The name was also later used as an English diminutive of Anne or Ann.'
