Do you prefer:

Sophie
Lucy
Charlotte (probably nn Lottie when small)

and why?

Love them all but in my case would choose Lucy as less popular/used in my area.

kickingking · 27/02/2012 19:48

One is my choice, one is DH's choice, and one is DS's contribution - they're all nice but we can't decide!

All lovely.

I think I like Charlotte the most, then Lucy then Sophie.

CotherMuckingFunt · 27/02/2012 19:49

I love Lucy (haha) and I'm gutted dh didn't want it for dd.

LeoTheLateBloomer · 27/02/2012 19:50

Sophie!

CharlieBoo · 27/02/2012 20:11

Too many Sophie's....Lucy or Charlotte, but all lovely, you can't go wrong...

LizzieChickens · 27/02/2012 20:23

Oh, they're all lovely! I prefer Lucy.

EllenParsons · 27/02/2012 20:32

They are all very nice but I would rank

Lucy
Charlotte
Sophie

Lucy was always my favourite name as a kid and I just think it is so pretty - works for all ages, classy and cute at the same time, well known but not TOO popular... a pretty perfect name! Charlotte is very pretty but I would be afraid of getting Charlie, which I dislike on a girl.

Can't go wrong with any of them though really.

usingapseudonym · 27/02/2012 20:47

I have 2 of those! :)

HolyNoSheDittantBatman · 27/02/2012 20:49

I'm not keen on Charlotte as it's too popular here and I really hate the nn Lottie, don't mind Charlie/Chaz.

Lucy is nice, but just a bit boring I think.

Sophie is my favourite as I don't hear it as much as the others and I think it would work at all ages.

Psammead · 27/02/2012 21:06

I have a Lucia, nn Lucy.
A child in my family is called Charlotte
Sophie was high on the list for DD.

I'd say you have great taste Grin

Lucy
Sophie
Charlotte

In order of preference.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 27/02/2012 21:10

Sophia Wink

happyhorse · 27/02/2012 21:10

Charlotte is my favourite but I hate Lottie, and don't really understand the need for it when it's the same number of syllables.

Slartybartfast · 27/02/2012 21:11

LUCY
can't really decide.

happybubblebrain · 27/02/2012 21:11

I like all three, but Charlotte the least.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 27/02/2012 21:11

My niece is Sophie Charlotte, her nanna calles her Lottie though, as she says she prefers Charlotte to Sophie Hmm

blushingcrow · 27/02/2012 21:12

Charlotte is my favourite, but I hate lottie as a nickname

pchick · 27/02/2012 21:12

Charlotte is my favourite.

ISpyPlumPie · 27/02/2012 21:13

Love them all. Bit Envy as don't think I can use any of them personally - one has already been used by a family member and MIL has blardy gone and used the other two for dogs (why she had to use human names rather than sticking to Rover I don't know!!).
Think Charlotte is probably my fave as it maybe works best for all ages and has more nn potential, but tbh they're all great.

BillComptonstrousers · 27/02/2012 21:20

I have an
Olivia
Charlotte
Emily.

We had Sophie and Lucy on our lst for DD3, DH wanted Sophie, and I wanted Sophia, so that got scrapped, so now we have Emily Lucy.

deste · 27/02/2012 21:43

Sophie, also biased, Lucy was also on the short list.

mumbaisapphire · 28/02/2012 01:27

Love Charlotte, Lucy is also nice. Charlotte Lucy is a nice combo. Don't really like Sophie, much prefer Sophia. Sophia Charlotte works well.

startail · 28/02/2012 01:53

Sorry no preference here they are all lovely and I know two Charlottes, one Sophie and two Lucy all around 13, I can't think of any younger ones
