I haven't heard of Marelli, but there's a French girls' name Mireille which is very pretty.

Not heard of that name either but is quite pretty. I also like Marilla (as in Anne of Green Gables)!

Marelli sounds like a sportsware brand name to me.

lisaro · 03/02/2012 16:23

Sounds like a car for a man with more money than dick.

Cinquefoil · 03/02/2012 17:06

Really does sound some kind of brand name.

Fluffmacduff · 04/02/2012 08:43

Makes me think of Pirelli tyres/ calendars.

Definitely prefer Mireille (pronounced Miray)

Or what about Marilla as suggested or

maria
Marielle/ Mariella

Coralanne · 04/02/2012 08:53

Have a niece named Mirella

NatureAbhorsAHoover · 04/02/2012 12:04

Haven't heard of it either... like Marilla though (Anne of GG fan obv.)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2012 16:59

Don't like it - it sounds like the name of an icecream van company.

surfmama · 04/02/2012 18:00

yes i think it does sound like sports wear now, thank you will count that one out. love mireille and Marilla so they are on my list. thanks that was a 4 in the morning idea after lots of gymnastics in tummy!

I've heard of Marielle, Mirren, and Maryama - all pretty!

Was going to say Marelli sounds like a TV detective from the 70s.
