can i have some opnions on two names that are on my very long and changing shortlist

ariana or adriana - I like it and have read it being used on name forums but never in real life which makes me worry that it is one of those ones people may laugh at in real life!

Dh likes Chloe but our surname is similar to Kirby and Chloe kirby just sounds off to me.

I should add our other daughters have names like Emily so chloe and ariana are pretty adventerous for us...

I think Ariana is beautiful, and I definitely don't think it's so "out there" that people would laugh at it. :)

No - people wont laugh at Ariana or Adriana - out of the two I prefer Ariana, however, I far prefer Chloe (even with your similar to Kirby surname).

I think Ariana is lovely - I know lots of Chloe's althoug it too is a 'nice' namen and I do not like 'Clo' which is often the nickname used.

Ariana is pretty.

Adriana is too similar to the boys' name Adrian, which I don't think is due a comeback soon.

I know a very beautiful Brazilian girl named Adreanna so I love it-lots of nn's too.

Arianna is very pretty - I prefer it with double 'nn', and the same for Adrianna - in fact especially so for Adrianna, as it feminises a bit more what is essentially a derivative of a male name. Both very nice indeed. Chloe....oh, yawn, sorry, it's a bit of a Jessica name for me, overused and I don't see the attraction. Each to their own of course. It just doesn't compare to Arianna/Adrianna, which feel positively luxurious in comparison.
