I like Alex/Alexander or matthew and callie.

Sarahplane · 23/01/2012 22:39

Congratulations.

mathanxiety · 23/01/2012 22:49

I like Sean or Matthew and Alison

PeanutButterCupCake · 23/01/2012 23:02

Callie and Alex....congratulations!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 23/01/2012 23:05

Callie and Alex.
Kit I believe is a bit boyish, ie short for Christopher.
Is James a family name?

yellowflowers · 23/01/2012 23:28

Congratulations!

Gilly and Kit. Lovely names.

nooka · 24/01/2012 06:06

I would assume that Gilly was a girl (Gillian) and Kit a boy (Christopher). If you are going to give your daughter a boy's name in the middle then I really think they need a first name that is more obviously a girls name. Personally I think that twins need very separate identities so I wouldn't give them the same middle name, but I assume that you have a good reason to do so.

marshmallowpies · 24/01/2012 09:59

Marilla for a girl...I like Callie but it's a nn to me, I'd give her a proper full name as well.

Kit is definitely not a girl's name, especially if the middle name is going to be James - definitely needs something a bit more feminine.

The boys names are all fine but I'm not massively keen on Sean.

3boysgirlontheway · 24/01/2012 10:16

Gilbert and Callie get my vote.

Congratulations x

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 24/01/2012 12:18

Gilbert or Matthew and Marilla, shows fine literary tastes, bring closet Green Gablers out! Marilla is lovely to and unusual, wood be a contender if I was having a girl.

ceebie · 24/01/2012 12:33

I like Alex, Sean or Matthew but bear in mind that if you go for Sean then the brothers will both be Mr S. J. Surname.

Callie, Marilla or Alison for a girl... sorry not much help! Not Kit - that's what you call gym stuff. And kitty is when old people summon their cat.

LouMacca · 24/01/2012 12:55

Out of your choices I like Alex and Matthew for a boy and Callie for a girl.

Congrats!! Double the fun!!

dippydoodah · 24/01/2012 13:05

Matthew and Callie . Congratulations!

shouldnotbehere · 24/01/2012 16:37

Congratulations

I like Matthew and Alison

Why would James be the middle name for a girl?

I like Alex and Callie.

Alex James
Callie Marilla

Picalo · 24/01/2012 21:27

Thank you all, you are really helping
We have ruled Sean out now due to having two Mr S J Surname.

Some said about why having James as a middle name for both and for DD.
I am a twin whose twin was James-Stuart Derek Surname.
Obviously DS1 is Stuart
And another DS was always going to have the James somewhere.
He died when we were 7 months. My dad had given us both the same middle name (so yes my mn is derek) I always liked the fact we both had the same middle name. Which is why when we found out it was twin we decided that they are both having the same middle name.

Picaro, that's a lovely idea to carry forward the name.

MerryMarigold · 24/01/2012 21:33

I like Gilbert and Callie or Rilla

I have twins called Jude and Marissa. They are 3 now and called 'Wiss' and 'Woo', so I would go for the things that are easy to say together!

A friend of DD2 has James as her middle name and I think it is lovely for a girl, just as nice as for a boy. I think the idea of carrying the name of your twin on is really touching.

Alligatorpie · 26/01/2012 05:50

I love Callie for a girl. Either Mathew or Alex for a boy.

birdofthenorth · 26/01/2012 11:03

I vote Alex and Marillia. Love Marilla. Though I do think you need to avoid Marilla in combination with either Matthew or Gilbert as it's a bit too AoGG!

tiptoptally · 05/02/2012 18:21

Have the twins been named????

FrankiDon182 · 07/02/2012 15:34

Callie-Rose James? Absolutely beautiful, counteracts the masculine Middle name :)

Congratulations on your twins! What a blessing Grin
