Just wondered what everybody thought of the name Reagan (pron Ree-gan) for a little boy?

My colleague is having a nightmare thinking of names but this one seems to be sticking and i'm not too sure on it? (not that I have any influence on her babies name of course, just wondered what the general view on it was)

Is it American more than English? Sounds it to me?

Ronald and The Exorcist come up mind. It's awful.

I see it as a girls name too, because of King Lear.

Have seen both Regan and Reagan used exclusively as girls' names in the US. Very Hardcore Irish, and Republican (as in GOP, not Irish Republican).

I'm in Canada and I know several Reagans (pronounced Ree-gan) and all of them are female.

I know a Ree-gan who is a girl, and also a little girl named Regan as in, rhymes with Megan.

Eagan is a boy's name, and I like that.

Ugh, sorry but I hate it. It will always remind me if Ronald. Also, it is a girls name over here (N America).

My cousin is Reagan. Her twin brother is Tanner. We are Canadian.

I like it for a girl, not do much for a boy.

It's the name of Gazzas son. Enough said.
