What do we think about Margaret?

Maggie or Peggy for short. I luff luff it, but an surprised with the old lady name revival that I haven't met more of them....

We have lots of Margarets/maggies in our family. I think Peggy is a lovely nn and less used than Maggie.

I don't mind it but I see it and I immediately think Margarat Thatcher or Princess Margaret.

Horrible.

Don't like it at all. Just screams 'Thatcher' at me and not in a good way, it's not a name that sounds nice either - very harsh. Cute nn's tho.

I've got one so I love it :). Mine gets called Daisy mostly, I call her Meg occasionaly.

I like Meg.

DH's Nains are/were Magaret.
I love some of the nicknames and we have had them on short lists for our three DC I would love to use it for DC4 but I think with the film coming out, the Thatcher connection will be too prevalent.

I love it. It's my mothers name though and she doesn't like it.

Like it. My grandmother was a Margaret but everybody called her Madge.

Horrible, however like maggie/Peggy.

I love it. Strong, sensible and grown up sounding. I've seen some people say they think it sounds 'harsh', but personally I hate all the Milly/Molly/Poppy type sweet names, so maybe I go for harsh!

I love it! I have a Margaret though she's Maggie most of the time.
