Help we have to choose another name quickly!

I'm due to give birth to 3rd baby (second DD). We'd picked Giulia (DH is Italian) and then he changed his mind as usual and loved Elisabetta. I was ok with this but Elizabeth is the name of one of my friend's dd's and when I mentioned it to her yesterday, I could tell she wasn't keen on me using the name too (fair enough).

So now we are kind of stuck! What do you think of Eloisa, Clara, Giulia (I still like this but DH undecided)? Or please any other ideas?

Oh come on, give the friend a break, all OP said is "I could tell she wasn't keen on me using the name too". I interpreted this as that she just said "Oh", or something like that. No one has said she threw a tantrum.

Thanks again all - yes Percy my friend didn't say much, just 'oh well I guess they are actually different names' but I could tell she was not keen so as I've already said, I'd prefer to avoid upsetting her if I can! I think I am going to persist with Giulia - dh as also suggested Lucia which I'll consider. Thanks for all the other suggestions, many of the names are already used by friends/family, there doesn't seem to be as much choice with Italian names as there are English ones! (everybody is called Francesca/Chiara/Alessia/Elena etc.....)

I think Julia is lovely and not much used atm. As it's pronounced the same as the Italian version, albeit with different spelling, I think it's a good choice. Lucia is nice but of course the prn differs in Italian, which might confuse some people.

Percy yup that's one of the reasons I thought Giulia was ideal. Also pretty but short and matches our other names!

There's also Viola/Violetta, Marta, Rosa, Beatrice, Angelina, Giuliana?

I like Giulietta. And Giulia. I love Gloria but doesn't work so well in UK. Baby Glo .
