Our local hospital has a page where you can view every baby born, including names / weights / parents' names. I went to search for a friend of mine's baby and found a poor, poor child with the name:

Jahlexyz Nevaeh

Confused

How do you even pronounce that? Confused

NorksAreMessy · 02/01/2012 21:18

Pronounced Alexi?

3boysgirlontheway · 02/01/2012 21:18

What the actual fook! How would you even start to pronounce it? Is it a girl or a boy?

Gumby · 02/01/2012 21:19

Sounds Indian to me?

I think Renesnee much worse, from twilight films, gas made top 20 names

Fishpond · 02/01/2012 21:20

It's a girl, the baby is not Indian unless very distantly - looks very caucasian. Nevaeh is the "Heaven spelled backward" crap that everyone has been doing here recently.

I think the first name is meant to be pronounced Yalexis. Confused

Although I've just now found a boy called Kiptyn - so he can give her a run for her money Grin

There was a Lollipop at our local hospital. Have these people no shame?

Amapoleon · 02/01/2012 21:22

I thought I'd found a cracker when I recently Wiki'd Glenn Mederios and discovered his children are called Chord and Lyric, but Jahlexyz takes the Biscuit

Fishpond · 02/01/2012 21:24

Ooooh oooh! There is a Beckham-Winkler Grin

Fishpond · 02/01/2012 21:25

Oh and I can absolutely say Nevaeh is pronounced Nuh-vay-uh, without exception.

Abishag is the worst name ever.

Fishpond · 02/01/2012 21:34

OH MY GOD.

Best one ever. Have found a baby whose name is 'Whenever' Grin

LynetteScavo · 02/01/2012 21:35

Jahlexyz

But why burden a child with this spelling?

Popbiscuit · 02/01/2012 21:36

At my children's school there is a little girl called RAPUNZEL. DD and DS feel very sad for her because everyone giggles when her name is called Sad

LynetteScavo · 02/01/2012 21:36

Actually, I really like the name lollipop. But it doesn't work so well in other languages.
