I love the name Oscar matthew for our little boy due in April.
But his initials would be O.M.G.
My dh loves the names but hatesb what the initials Spell out as he.thinks its too.chavvy....would this bother you?

Yes it would bother me, and it would definitely bother me if they were my initials! Children often put initials on things to identify them.

If you are really set on the names (very nice btw!) how about giving 2 Middles to break it up. Oscar Matthew James?t,6

Try to avoid I'd say - I know an Oscar James.
Or as Spag says above, try 2 middle names.

There is a sizeable pool of people who find blasphemy a very serious kind of swearing. I wouldn't use any form of swearing as initials.

CecilyP · 02/01/2012 13:49

Hmm, OMG currently seems to be a teenage catchphrase; it is quite possible that it will have disappeared by the time Oscar is a teenager.

AnotherMincepie · 02/01/2012 16:44

I'd avoid those initials.

phlossie · 02/01/2012 16:49

I'd steer clear...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2012 16:53

I'm not sure why it's, 'chavvy' but I would agree that it's best avoided.

SantasNutellaFairy · 02/01/2012 17:12

I would add another middle name.

lottiegb · 02/01/2012 17:46

I think widespread use of OMG is a short-lived fad, so probably wouldn't be too concerned but, could add a second mn.
