DH has just suggested Darcy for DC2 if it's a girl. He's not normally so 'left' field, been hell bent on Beatrice for yonks..DH reckons it's different like Honor yet not unheard off! I don't dislike it, just not sure.

Honor and Darcy, Darcy and Honor..does it work?

Your thoughts please?

I prefer Beatrice, it is beautiful with Honor.

Annabel - Anna is my other god-daughter..so as above.
Eliza - DD is Honor Elizabeth...would LOVE Eliza but too much for DD2?

I don't dislike Grace, however I worked with a Grace and frankly she made my 'foot inch' so for that reason I couldn't us it.

I like Beatrix have DH won't have it. He wants DD2 to be Bibi or Bebe but I've said she MUST have a Sunday School name for BC.

Darcy (and variants) isn't my taste at all. Sadly seems to have grown slightly downmarket, as has been mentioned.

I think Honor & Darcy sound fab together.

Dulcie is a great alternative

Not keen on Dulcie at all..too Bugsy for me.

I'm sad that Darcy or Darcey has become..'downmarket'. I've not heard of it here at all, but saying that we're living the Home Country's dream not really up on more current treads.

No. Really don't like Darcy. Doesn't seem akin to Honor - Honor is a more old fashioned name and conjures up a picture of an Angela Brazil heroine. Darcy sounds a bit (sorry) 'chav' - there are heaps round here.

Beatrice is lovely. I know one - nn Bea.

I knew an Honor with sister Adele, always thought both names were timeless and classic names. They were Scottish too. Sadly couldn't use either with our surname.

FWIT we had Darcy on our list of likes but felt slightly affected somehow and it's a boy so has made things a little easier.

I think Bibi is nice but dislike the royal association with Beatrice. Stupid I know, and possibly even slightly affected (must try and unearth my vocab from somewhere)

Honor and Beatrice is much nicer.

I think Darcy may date (though people also say this about my dd's name!) and reminds me uncomfortably of Tracy (which people probably also thought sounded nice at the time). Beatrice is much more classic, like Honor (which is lovely)

I went earlier to put flowers on my grandfathers grave earlier today and found his mother was called Beatrice! Which I didn't know as we called her Betty. Honor was named after my other great-granny so that might be a nice tough.
