Alannah? What's your thoughts?

So up until now baby due last week if she is a she we were thinking Annabel or Arabella these have been around from the start then all of a sudden somebody, think it was DH, suggested Alannah, DD likes it, DH likes it DM likes it i like it but i'm not good with hasty decisions, I don't adore it but then i'm not allowed have the names I love as DH doesn't like them. What does everyone else think?

I went to school with an Alana never met another since. I think it's lovely but perfere the Alana spelling.

My 3rd is called Alanah so I obviously love it Grin We pronounce it A-lar-na.

Lovely name. I think it has a very warm and international feel to it. I would pronounce it as if it was Irish 'a-LANN-ah' with the flat 'lann' as in 'Ann', and I love the meaning.

I think to avoid mispronunciations you might like to spell it Alannah, though people seem to be able to mangle pretty much anything ime.
