Ok so I'm in early premiture labour (I'm 31+5), I'm not allowed to do anything other than walk up the stairs to use the toilet, but that brings on contractions. So I'm bored and hopefully you can help and entertain me! Xmas Grin

We've decided to call our dd Calliope (callie for short) for middle names we wanted to use our maternal grandmothers names and my middle name is my maternal grandmothers name. So we have Calliope Sarah Kathleen (then a 2 syliable surname) we think that it sounds really long and kathleen is alittle old fashioned? Kathleen being my middle name too.

So we want something linked to kathleen but 1 sylable and more 'modern'

We thought of Kate which we really both like, kath is too old fashioned.

Anyone have another suggestions?

(ds1 has our mothers names as her middle names so would really like to stick with the family connexion)

Stick with Kathleen, you are worrying too much. :)

How often are you planning on her using all the names at once? How about if she marries and changes her surname to something short?

Stupid phone sorry.

I knew a Kathleen. She was known as Bunty. Hardly modern though. :)

Either use your grandmother's name or don't use it.
