It suddenly dawned on me today that it is actually a nice name.

Quick internet search it is a 'proper' names as well.

Am I being ridiculous? It isn't that different from calling your DD Emerald or Amber or Cherry or Jade? is it?

My DH's best mate is called Teal - he's 31. It's a great name. Go for it Xmas Smile

My friend's dog is Teal so I cant imagine it for a person-she chose it rather than Aubergine which is a bit long for a dog :)

Teal is a dog name (I know 3) but so are Lily, Poppy, Chloe.
