I don't think I've ever seen it spelt that way. It is Jonathan in every English version of the Bible as far as I know.

Never seen it spelt with an 'h' either - you'd be setting him up for a lifetime of correcting people's spelling of it, I'd imagine...

I don't think I like the Johnathan version. it's like John then sticking the rest on as an after thought. I like Jonathan.

I really like Jonathan! You don't hear it too often on babies and small children these days so it seems quite fresh, but still classic. Nicholas gives me a similar vibe if you are looking for more suggestions.

It's my brothers name and as an adult he always calls himself John now, which I prefer. We used to call him Jonny when he was a child.
