Egg whisk's short list - opinions wanted

I'm 33 weeks with a yellow bump and would love some opinions on our choices. We already have an Evelyn and a Francesca.

Florence
Hermione
Genevieve

Frederick
Arthur
Gabriel
Sebastian

Middle names will be family names

Your boys list is exactly the same as mine was! But I had a girl (three weeks ago)

I'd pick Romilly and Gabriel.

Love Hermione and Florence is nice too. Like all of the boys' names except Arthur but Gabriel is my favourite.

A yellow bump is a unborn baby of unknown gender.

You have almost the same short lists as we did :)

We ended up with a Romilly. She's the only one we've come across in RL although there are a couple more on here I know of. I still love it and you're welcome to share. I also love Genevieve and may use it if we ever have another.

I think Frederick and Florence would sound a bit odd with your Francesca. I prefer Sebastian or Gabriel.

Romilly- Pretty but a bit too posh IMO
Florence- V popular and I'm afraid I don't like. It makes me think of tea cosies
Hermione- Nice
Genevieve- Beeeeeeeeyooriful

Frederick- I like it
Arthur- FANTASTIC.
Gabriel- Nice. Makes me think of angels. :)
Sebastian- Under the seeeeeeea, under the seeeeeea :o

Romilly - my fave from your list
Florence - lovely, but too popular for my liking now
Hermione - Harry Potter, posh
Genevieve - pretty, but will be Jenny nn which I don't like

Frederick - meh
Arthur - would get pronounced Arfa in certain parts which would put me off!
Gabriel - like nn Gabe, probably my favourite boys name from your list
Sebastian - too posh for me, although Seb is ok

Your girl list is almost the same as mine, I love Genevieve and Romilly and am campaigning for either if our yellow bump's a girl! From your boys I think I prefer Gabriel.

From your girl's list I like Genevieve the best and would use Ginty as the nn.

From the boy's list I would be wary of Frederick because I hate the nn Freddie. I am also not keen on Sebastian but think Arthur and Gabriel are both gorgeous names.

Thanks for all the replys, i'm finding it really difficult this time to pick names. I think Arthur will probably be ruled out as my dh isn't keen, even though i've loved it for years!

I love Gabriel but i've had quite a few negative reactions in rl so i'm suprised it seems quite popular here.

I think Genevieve goes really well with your existing names. I like all your boys options equally.

All the names are actually very nice and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them TBH

Romilly is beautiful. Really dislike Genevieve and Florence/Hermione ok.

Genevieve is good - its the only one of the girls' which really abbreviates well IMO.

Any of the boys except Arthur (too old man, no good NNs)
