We are giving our 3 DCs 4 names to pick between them for DC4and5

DH and DS1 like Leah
DS2 and DD1 like Leanne

I don't know what side of the fence I sit on

So

What one do you prefer?

Personally I prefer Leah

Mayvis · 08/11/2011 11:11

I prefer Leah

Montsti · 08/11/2011 11:44

Much prefer Leah.

Towndon · 08/11/2011 11:47

I prefer Leanne.

3isamagicnumber · 08/11/2011 12:59

Definitely Leah

Rhubarbgarden · 08/11/2011 13:55

Leah. Leanne is too seventies.

Beamur · 08/11/2011 13:56

Leah.

playdead · 08/11/2011 14:01

Lea with no h. With a h it means burden in Hebrew. Without a h it means goddess in Hawaiian.

It prob should change the pronunciation but we kept it the same, just changed the spelling.

Lookattheears · 08/11/2011 14:03

Truthfully?

I think both are grim.

Leanne is 70's chav and Leah is 90's.

Sorry, but if you will ask!

peanutbuttercupcake · 08/11/2011 14:34

Leah is lovely
leanne not so

Leah.

RitaMorgan · 08/11/2011 14:52

I love the name Leah! Pretty and classic.

Not so keen on Leanne (prefer the spelling Lianne though) - seems a bit dated.

comedaygoday · 08/11/2011 14:53

Prefer Leah and FWIW I would keep that spelling. Using an.unusual spelling could be annoying for your DD.

Bandwithering · 08/11/2011 15:02

Leah is beautiful. it's a bible name isn't it? I think that that means it can never be chav.

minipie · 08/11/2011 17:13

I really dislike the name Leah, sorry. Leanne or Lianne are much prettier (even if they are a bit dated).

Sounds like I'm in a minority though!

hairypotter · 08/11/2011 17:16

Leah is beautiful. A classic name and definitely not chavvy. Leanne seems a bit 80's IMO.

insanityscratching · 08/11/2011 17:20

Leah is lovely but really don't like Leanne and it's really dated IMO.

Towndon · 08/11/2011 17:45

Lianna is nice and more up-to-date than Leanne IMO.

paranoidandroidwreckmyownlife · 08/11/2011 17:53

Leah is prettier (even though a Leah stole my first boyfriend;-)
Leanne does sound a bit chavvy, backed up in my opinion as the little tarty miss at DH's work who always comes in on her day off and is just to informal with no boundaries has that name.

usualsuspect · 08/11/2011 17:57

I prefer Leah

but Leanne is ok

I hate all the chav shite thats posed on baby names

mathanxiety · 08/11/2011 20:53

Leah definitely. Leanne is country and western.

How about Leigh? Or is it too dated?

flybynight · 08/11/2011 20:56

Leah - its biblical, and I do love a biblical name. No Leannes in the good book to the best of my knowledge.

AberdeenAngusina · 08/11/2011 21:48

Leah. Timeless and lovely.
