Pronunciation of Emilia?

I love the name Emilia but have heard two different pronunciations: one like Amelia and one girl I used to know who pronounced it e-mi-LI-a ( to rhyme with Sophia). Which would you think of upon seeing the name Emilia?

Emelia- rhyming with Amelia. It's an Italian name so that's how it should be pronounced.

If your not Italian, then it's Em-illi-a.

E-MEE-lee-uh.

With one L I'd say e-MEE-lee-uh. Only with two Ls would I say e-MILL-ee-uh.

I agree with Towndon. Beautiful name but my niece is Amelia (which I don't like weirdly...) so can't use it!

I have this same argument with DH over Emilia Fox (his crush)

I read it is Em - il - LEE - uh (rhymes with Sophia)

DH reads it as Em -EEL -ia (like Amelia)

It looks nice but I'm not particularly keen on it, either pronunciation!
