Exp DC4, are my hormones in overdrive, or is this a pretty name? CC as a nn?

To go with Alexander nn Xander, William nn Will and Eleanor nn Ella?

Also like Cecily but dont think it goes as well with other DC. Can anyone suggest anything similar along those lines?

Thanks! Grin

I like Cecilia (although I prefer Cecily). Cece or CC is a nice nn.

But I think Cecily would go fine with the others.

IfYouSeeKay · 06/11/2011 19:09

Cecelia is lovely but I can't say it without wanting to break into the Simon and Garfunkel song.

Cecily is gorgeous and goes well with your other DC names.

JamieComeHome · 06/11/2011 19:10

I prefer Celia - I think it's prettier but less "fussy"

What about

Lydia
Marianne
Margaret - nn Meg, Maggie, Peggy
Leah

My nana was called Cecilia but called Celia for short! She was actually Cecilia Agatha! She lived until she was 97!
I love the name!

meditrina · 06/11/2011 19:15

I think it's lovely, and the full form sits really well with your other DC's names.

LaFilleSurLePont · 06/11/2011 19:36

Love it. It's beautiful, and goes very well with your other children's lovely names.

Note2Self · 06/11/2011 19:38

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!!! It's DD2's middle name and have we known there was going to be a DD3 we would have kept it and used Cece.

Lovely names all round we have an Isabella (Ella) and Alexandra (Lexie)

Towndon · 06/11/2011 20:15

Cecilia is lovely, very pretty. Much nicer than Cecily and Celia which are lumpier and don't flow as nicely.

Xmasbaby11 · 06/11/2011 21:31

I don't like Celia or Cecelia - very fussy and old sounding. Cece or similar sounds a bit more modern.

Tortington · 06/11/2011 21:32

i adore it

RillaBlythe · 07/11/2011 05:02

Making love in the afternoon.

nooka · 07/11/2011 06:05

My aunt is a Cecilia I think it is a very nice name, and goes well with your other names. Actually I think Cecily does too.

Rhubarbgarden · 07/11/2011 08:38

Lovely, but I do prefer Cecily and I think it goes fine with the others.

cornelia1 · 07/11/2011 08:49

I think Cecilia is a lovely name.

Staverton · 07/11/2011 08:52

I absolutely love it but it means blind in case meanings matter to you

amandine07 · 07/11/2011 11:11

I do think Cecilia is a really pretty name...also I do like the french name Cecile which I think is lovely.

Montsti · 07/11/2011 11:41

I like it but immediately think of the song as per a few above comments/lyrics! It is an immensely annoying song a la Tom Jones' Delilah, but that would be the only problem for me. I think it goes well with your other DC's names too.

BibiBelle · 07/11/2011 18:46

She was also the patron saint of Music which cancels out the blind meaning for us Grin

rachel234 · 07/11/2011 18:48

Nice name but the meaning would put me off.
