Surname Filkin. We are thinking of:

Bungle James Filkin
Bungle George Filkin
Bungle John Filkin

Opinions please!

You are not serious?

ThingsThatGoFlumpInTheNight · 02/11/2011 09:47

?Do you know the definition of 'bungle' in the dictionary? OP

In case you don't:

"A mistake or failure." How nice for your DC Confused

Something tells me this is a wind-up.

Towndon · 02/11/2011 10:03

This thread is hilarious :o All the people carefully wondering whether it might just possibly be a wind-up. But of course we're not allowed to be troll-spotters so we have to pretend that someone is seriously considering the name Bungle. Classic! Grin

ThingsThatGoFlumpInTheNight · 02/11/2011 10:06

Doesn't it make you feel sorry for Bungle in Rainbow now though? As a child I never considered the fact that everyone was taking the piss out of him Sad

Mum1369 · 02/11/2011 10:12

Sorry, sounds like a disease... 'Oh look I've got a bungle on me' filkin'

caramelwaffle · 02/11/2011 10:12

ilovesprouts · 02/11/2011 13:08

filkin · 02/11/2011 21:14

I'm shocked that you all hate it!!!! I don't think he would stand out with all the unusual names about today. I did want Digby but my sister used it.

OP posts:
MummysLittleSunbeams · 02/11/2011 22:02

But Digby is a proper name. Bungle is just a great big hairy man-bear!

Why the devil not I sayGrin Fwiw I prefer Bungle GeorgeWink ...although you may want to consider Zippy?

MollyTheMole · 03/11/2011 09:15

you might aswell just pin a "kick me" sign to your kids back

justhayley · 03/11/2011 10:22

Sorry but bungle is awful! I grew up with rainbow so like everyone on here if I think bungle I then think zippy, then I laugh. Also the definition makes it worse. Maybe get a dog and call it bungle instead.

annoyingdevil · 03/11/2011 11:49

My sister's cat was Bungle, fine for a pet, imo

YaMaYaMa · 03/11/2011 11:53

How about Nobber? Nobber Filkin? Grin

MrsRhettButler · 03/11/2011 11:56

I love it! I'm Confused as to why you are getting such negative comments.

MrsRhettButler · 03/11/2011 11:58

Could you all tell that was sarcastic? Should I have put a Wink at the end?

LieInsAreRarerThanTigers · 03/11/2011 11:58

My ds plays hockey with a Zippi (girl) - I think you should change your surname to Stiltskin and choose Rumple.

nenevomito · 03/11/2011 12:04

I don't hate it, OP, I bloody LOVE it.

Then again, I've always fancied painting my whole world with a rainbow!

nenevomito · 03/11/2011 12:04
PattySimcox · 03/11/2011 12:22

I can only assume you are too young to remember Rainbow

HenriettaFarthingay · 03/11/2011 12:25

Don't be daft.

ChippingInAutumnLover · 03/11/2011 13:08

Rhett - you are playing havock with my spreadsheet. You do need to work on your sarcasm smilies Grin

WailyWailyWaily · 03/11/2011 13:18

I knew a Bungle once. I don't know what his real name was as I really don't think it was Bungle. Anyway he was a nice guy in a very Bungle type of way

LieInsAreRarerThanTigers · 03/11/2011 13:31

Was his surname Lowe?
