My dd is called Ella and we are struggling to agree on another girls name! I'm quite open and have many favs but my dp has been so difficult to convince on any ( he wants a boy!!!!) So finally he picked Evie from my list which he has now grown to love whereas I now am going off! :-( Does it go with Ella?? Im not so sure! Help !!

I'm not wild about the two Es personally but they are both great names. Do you prefer Eve or Eva instead?

Johanne?

ThatsNotMyBabyBelly · 29/10/2011 23:39

I think they go perfectly well together, but not good if you are going off it! Do you like any of the names Evie can be derived from, Evangeline? Evelyn?Eve?

glammanana · 29/10/2011 23:48

You need to choose a longer second name Ella and Evie are both lovely name's but they do not go together,ie Ella Elizabeth or Evie Victoria (just idea's)

Evie and Ella both nice.

Agree with glammanana, think you need a longer middle name.

Catherine
Constance
Charlotte

Thats cool pilates Charlotte is my name sake Smile

Ohhh I have an Evie Charlotte. Love the name Evie and she has a friend Ella. I think the names are fine together. Very popular names where I live [hsmile].

I know Ella and Eva (known as Evie) sisters. In fact, IIRC Eva's middle name is Constance.

Both are pretty names, and I think they go ok together. Personally, I wouldn't have two Miss E Surnames in the house, but it's only going to be an issue until they move out. I know lots of people who it doesn't bother and that's fine. As long as you like the names that's the main thing. Smile

I love the name Evie, was just unsure of having 2 E names, but baby coming tomorrow so better make my mind up sooner rather than later! Lol!! It probably means I'm having a boy and all this stress was unessesary! So If I do have a girl the plan is Evie Violet to go with my other dd Ella Rose!

BikeRunSki · 30/10/2011 22:35

PANCHEY · 21/11/2011 22:35

May

MogTheForgetfulCat · 21/11/2011 22:41

I know lovely twin girls called Ella and Evie!

LikeACandleButNotQuite · 22/11/2011 00:27

I know an Ella who's lil sis is called Aoife, perfect match

ShengdanRoad · 22/11/2011 15:17

There are plenty of both around, so they go together by dint of the fact that they are so popular. Going for something more unusual might make Ella feel left out...

MogTheForgetfulCat · 22/11/2011 16:44

Sorry to hijack, but... MercyDulbottle! I haven't heard that name for too many years. Marvellous. We obviously have similar reading tastes Grin.
