Primrose - sorry, not one I like
Elizabeth - lovely
Victoria - lovely (Tiggy wouldn't be my choice of nn, but it's ok)
Henrietta - ok (Henri sounds very masculine though

Rupert - lovely
Ernest - sorry, don't like (Ernie - the fastest milkman in the west)
Oscar - maybe too popular - yes, but still a lovely name
Montgomery - lovely

With the exception of Oscar and Elizabeth, they are all frightfully posh!!

comedaygoday · 23/10/2011 17:02

Don't like Primrose. Too frilly and girly for me and the only famous Primrose I can think of is Harold Shipman's wife which puts me off. The rest of your girl names I like. As for the boy names like Rupert and Montgomery best.

Montsti · 23/10/2011 17:18

Elizabeth, Victoria and Montgomery for me - all great names!

MelinaM · 23/10/2011 18:03

primrose(favourite) - Don't like.
elizabeth - Beautiful
victoria (tiggy) - Like, and love the nn Vita.
henrietta(henri) - Nie, but prefer the nn Hettie.

rupert (all time fave, but dh hates it ) - LOVE, love, love Rupert!!!
ernest (ernie) - Don't like.
oscar (maybe too popular) - Nice, but has become very trendy of late.
montgomery - Love Monty too, fab!

Rupert and Elizabeth for me! ...closely followed by Monty[hgrin]

Elizabeth is my favourite. Classic, classy, feminine yet strong. A lovely name.

Not massively keen on the rest. Primrose is way too twee for my tastes.

Not keen on your boy's names, sorry. Henry?

oohlaalaa · 24/10/2011 13:26

I like Elizabeth and Oscar best.

zozzle · 26/10/2011 17:46

Elizabeth and Victoria for me - the rest are too public school for my taste.

mathanxiety · 26/10/2011 18:17

Primrose(favourite) -- dislike because of the 'prim' bit.
Elizabeth -- very nice but safe perhaps?
Victoria (tiggy) -- nice, 'Tiggy' is a nice nn
Henrietta (henri) -- like a lot, but prefer Etta as a nn

Rupert (all time fave, but dh hates it sad) -- I'm with your DH. Horror of a name for children who can't pwonounce theiw Rs. And then there's Rupert Bear, whose appeal I can't understand.
Ernest (ernie) -- taking the little old man fad way too far
Oscar (maybe too popular) -- lovely name even if it is quite popular
Montgomery -- bit of a mouthful, and Monty reminds me of The Full Monty

Henrietta or Oscar get my vote. with Elizabeth and Victoria in second and third for girls.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/10/2011 18:23

Your boys' names are much nicer than the girls' and I like all of them (but hate Ernie as a nn)/ Only like Elizabeth from your girls' list.

littlemd · 26/10/2011 21:32

Primrose all the way for me. I think it's just the most lovely name follow your heart and congrats on your pregnancy x
