too early to be worrying about this, but boys names are impossible!

I'm about 7 weeks with DC2, so this worrying about names is very premature! However, for DS, we had a name decided on before he was even concieved, and this time we have decided on a girls name already.

we have several problems though.
1st, we have used our favourite boys name already.
2nd, it is a very very popular name, so we don't want to go too off-beat with DC2 - DH and I have unusual names, and both hate that.
3rd, DH and his family are not from the UK, and so we need names that can be pronounced and spelt in their language too (Slavic language).
4th, we don't want obviously religious names - I love the names Gabriel and Joseph, for example, but just can't bring myself to use them!

So, here are names I LOVE, but can't use as they are family or close friends names:
Oliver
Alexander/Alexandr/Ales
Andrew
William
Stephen/Stephan
Oskar
James
Hugo
Filip
Petr/Peter
Paul/Pavel
Thomas/Tomas
Leo/Leos

I currently love Theodore, but DH can't pronounce 'Th', which I would guess is an issue. And also like Dominik or Erik, but our surname starts with a K, so they're out.

Oh, and middle name will be Christopher, probably.

Any suggestions, based on the names I like but can't use? thank you :o

Emil?

What about Dominic or Eric or is it the sound you don't like - Nicholas is lovely, Luke?. Most traditional Western names are religious, because they come from Christanity that might be a bit of a stumbling block - its funny because I think of Christopher as a very religious name Grin

cheers, I know Christopher is religious, but it's our best friends name, so we'll use it as a middle name - DS has other best friends name as his middle name!

the sounds of Erik and Dominik clash with our surname, unfortunately! so does Luke, sadly.

We did hmm over Benedikt, but it also sounds jarring with our surname.

I do like Emil and George, but George is Jiri in DH's language, which I'm less keen on.

it's so bleeding difficult!! :o

I know, I have 3dds and I found thinking of boys names really difficult - in fact 3 of my choices were on your "like but can't have list" and my other one was Dominic Grin
