Is willow gonna get mega popular?

Thought I'd come up with a really unused beautiful name but am starting to worry that Willow is actually getting popular. I've never heard of one except a couple of celeb kids so do people know any or of any potential Willows and where in the uk is it on the rise? Can't find any reliable statistics. It wouldn't necessarily put me off but don't want four in the class!

I think Willow and Eden are both getting popular.

Sarah Palin's children are called Bristol, Piper, Track, Willow and Trig. Willow came off best by a long way!

hayleysd · 20/10/2011 20:22

I know 1 girl at ds' school and 1 cat!

pranma · 20/10/2011 20:25

I know 4 Willows-aged between newborn and 5.I think it is becoming very popular-oh and a cat [Pussy Willow]

tabulahrasa · 20/10/2011 20:39

One of my cats is called Willow - because of Buffy

Not that it's really anything to do with children, but I thought I'd add it in, lol

I don't know any human willows

Rhubarbgarden · 20/10/2011 21:17

I think it's a sweet name. I don't know any.

BuntyPenfold · 20/10/2011 21:35

I know 2 Willows, both 4 -ish, in Devon. Both with very young mums, so maybe named from Buffy.

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 20/10/2011 22:21

I'm not a young mum Grin.

I know a seven year old Willow, no celeb parents. Beautiful name.

lurkinginthebackground · 22/10/2011 09:18

I don't know any Willows. Only celeb's kids. Can't imagine it being the next Evie/Isobel.

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 22/10/2011 12:50

I hope you are right lurking

Jeezimacasalinga · 22/10/2011 14:25

I know a few Willows, ages 1-5 here in SW London.

scarletfingernail · 22/10/2011 17:15

I know of one Willow. It was an unfortunate choice of name IMO as there's nothing willowy about her whatsoever. Perhaps something else to bear in mind.

MadamTwoSwords · 22/10/2011 17:19

My DD (18mo) has the middle name Willow. Don't really know why, DH chose her first name and I chose her middle in the middle of labour. It was that or a family name which was too "political"

BloodyGoreyHairyKnickers · 22/10/2011 17:38

My point exactly scarletfingernail.

Everything about my Dd is Willowy. Long may that continue!

ShroudOfHamsters · 24/10/2011 11:32

I know two under two. I think there's a good chance it's going to end up as the new Scarlett - a pretty and 'off-the-wall' choice which unfortunately everyone seems to have discovered at the same time!

Solo · 24/10/2011 12:39

I found out that my Mums cousin in South Africa's grand daughters name was also Willow. Dd was 14 months by then. None of us knew as she'd not been in touch for nearly 50 years! I was gutted!

ceeceeanne · 28/10/2011 07:02

Have noticed a lot of dogs called willow recently!
