Mary for a December baby?

Looking for some opinions here as can't decide if I am over-thinking this one. We have 2 DD's and one DS and are trying to come up with a name for no. 4 which is due in less than 10 weeks - sex unknown.

A name that has been on and off the list for the others is Mary, which we both like but this baby is due x-mas week.

I know as an adult it probably wouldn't be an issue but as a child is it going to be awkward every December or am I worrying over nothing?

worrying over nothing imo. It's a nice name and I don't think December makes any difference

Lovely name. Due to a revival?

I like Mary!

Also Marie and Maria.

It's a lovely name, classic, but underused. I don't think you should be put off using it because your DD is a December baby.

It's not like your calling her Carol or Holly!

I think Mary is lovely.

Very nice name. I don't think the date makes a difference.

I know someone who named their DS Joseph and he was born on Christmas Day. To be honest I think it's quite cool, but imagine he will get comments about this when he's older...Jesus might be a bit weird though (in the UK).

Gorgeous name. DD's middle name, nearly her first. Wouldn't make this December link unless you already have a DS called Joseph!

GuillotinedMaryLacey · 17/10/2011 20:22

Lovely, I really like Mary and think it's underused, well due for a comeback.

birdofthenorth, no DS isn't called Joseph : )

Good to hear it is my pregnancy brain over-thinking it : )
