So DH vetoed my most recent name idea for our third DC. Apparently it would be cruel to name a child Proudlock and I should not be getting name ideas from Made In Chelsea Envy

On a more serious note, after some great MN feedback and another look through our names we have come up with another (slightly shorter) shortlist!

What are your opinions on -

Inigo Gray
Otto Gray
Augustus Bay
Atticus Bay

Lucia Cleo
Ariana Cleo
Paloma Elodie
Astrid Elodie

What are your favourites?

I would go for Proudlock :o

NaughtyBusterAndTheBumFactory · 17/10/2011 10:49

Kirsty Allsop has a 'Bay'

I love Atticus and did think of it when naming Ds. Also like Otto and do know one and he is very cute! Like Astrid too.

NaughtyBusterAndTheBumFactory · 17/10/2011 10:51

Have you thought of 'Exquisite Cake' for a girl? :o

MissWilde · 17/10/2011 16:58

Assuming that Proudlock isn't an option then my favourite is Otto Gray ;)

As for girl's names, is there not an equally fabulous Made In Chelsea one you could go for? If not then I would shake it up a bit an go for Lucia Elodie

Good luck!

Naughty - Pretty sure I saw Exquisite Cake listed over on the 'hipster names' thread Grin

Right off the bat, I don't like Gray or Bay. That being said:

Inigo Gray -- Always makes me think someone meant Indigo
Otto Gray -- Love
Augustus Bay -- prefer Augustine; Augustus will always be Augustus Gloop for me, 'the great big, greedy nincompoop'
Atticus Bay -- Liked Atticus as a name in To Kill a Mockingbird, but I think it's becoming a bit of a cultural marker of right-on yummy people announcing their educational attainment level through the medium of their children

With the girls' names, I think the name Elodie sounds a bit jarring, like a truncated 'Melodie'. Something is missing:

Lucia Cleo -- Very nice but there will always be a question as to the pronunciation of Lucia. Is it LOO-thia, Loo-SEE-ah, Loo-CHEE-ah...
Ariana Cleo -- Ariana is a bit frilly imo
Paloma Elodie -- Paloma is gorgeous
Astrid Elodie -- Astrid is gorgeous

So I love Otto, Paloma and Astrid.
Otto needs a better MN.
Paloma could have Cleo as a MN: Paloma Cleo
Astrid could have Ariana or Lucia as a MN: Astrid Ariana, Astrid Lucia
Cleo Lucia is also lovely imo, as are Cleo Paloma, Cleo Astrid.

I like atticus, not keen on your other boys names.

Girls names, not keen on paloma but like the others

Like Otto and Atticus. Prefer Gray to Bay (Atticus Bay does sound like a place, albeit a very scenic one, sorry!).

Love Cleo and Paloma. I'd go for Paloma Cleo rather than Paloma Elodie -I do like Elodie but both names are three syllables with "lo" in the middle and are a bit of a mouthful together.
