Just out of interest Smile

It's growing on me.

Is it a real name?

Makes me think of amityville horror. Not keen, sorry.

Psammead · 06/10/2011 10:42

Oh, Horror would be a great MN Grin

Jaws.

There was a thread about this name a few weeks ago.

wellwisher · 06/10/2011 10:43

Immediately makes me think of Amityville horror too!

Psammead · 06/10/2011 10:44

Maybe that's why it had a sort of familiar feel...

Spooky. Grin

Jaws here too.

Sidge · 06/10/2011 10:47

Jaws and Amityville Horror.

Not good associations!

LunaticIsOnTheGrass · 06/10/2011 10:47

Amityville horror for me too.

Psammead · 06/10/2011 10:49

See, this is why I like this board. I am crap at pop culture type references.

What a shame, it's quite pretty!

Jaws and Amityville too!

happybubblebrain · 06/10/2011 11:08

It would be a nice name if there had never been an Amityville.

BatTasteFlump · 06/10/2011 11:10

Definitely Amityville Horror and Amity Island in Jaws - so not good - sorry!

BatTasteFlump · 06/10/2011 11:12

What about Verity? Sounds very similar but doesn't have any bad connotations (that I know of).

BuntyPenfold · 06/10/2011 11:39

I loved Verity until someone on here said Ferrety.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/10/2011 11:55

Ha! 'Twas me who asked the same question a few weeks ago. It got slated & the comments totally put me off the name! Grin

Reminds me of Homity Pie... I'd expect her to be short, round and apple of cheek, slightly surprised looking, wearing a brown checked apron.

Hmm at me today...

marjolaine · 06/10/2011 13:20

The name is pretty and has a nice meaning but I think Amityville Horror too sorry. But maybe her peers won't have heard of it?

tummytickler · 06/10/2011 14:54

Ooooh - I love Homity Pie - mmmmmmm!
I don't love the name Amity though.
