37 weeks and DH not 100% happy with our chosen name....please help!

We have our girls name sorted, and our boys name is either Jacob or Joshua - but DH is not overly happy with either. I just want to get something sorted before the baby arrives, so frustrating!! - He likes traditional names, particularly long ones that can be shortened. There are some other restrictions too though that makes it even more tricky - needs to be at least 2 syllables (preferably 3), and can't start with a C, A, S or T and nothing with 'th' in it. Anyone got any suggestions?

Have to say I like Marcus a lot

Great suggestions douzequince- Edward, Oliver, Isaac and Joseph were all on my short list. The others have 'th' in them.
Like William and Benjamin too - although have close friends with DCs with these already. Worked with a Marcus I didn't like so sort of puts me off - sorry!

Oh - really like Frederick - wonder if I can persuade DH!!
Also - other possibilities - Montague (Monty), Orlando and Xavier - wonder if they are traditional enough though....will ask him later! :)

Orlando is a Shakespearian character (1600) so maybe that'll swing it! Wink

Xavier is of Basque origin, so traditional SpanishGrin

Love Monty and Freddie!

Thanks Melina!! Will try my best persuasion tonight!! :)

Thanks so much for all the suggestions everyone!
I put all the suggestions to my DH and he read through 4 baby name books and it has just confirmed our decision to stick with our original name of Joshua which would have been our DD's name had she been a DS! - Such a relief to finally have it sorted out....:)
