So, could give birth any day to DC2, and we don't know the sex.
We were set on Dexter for a boy, but after a discussion this evening with DH it seems he has some reservations, and this has made me unsure too.

Our last name begins with S and is 3 syllables. Middle name will begin with E and is very biblical.

Does anyone have any suggestions PLEASE?
To give you an idea - I love the name Eugene (DH has vetoed), I also love Frederick (DH not keen), Myles, Isaac (ditto)
He loves the name Stanley (I'm not massively keen)

I want something a little unusual, but something people have heard of and can spell.
Nothing too 'english' sounding - by which I mean William, George etc as it's not very us.

Any help would be really great right now...

My DS is Rufus.

Also like Gabriel (might be a bit biblical), Bruno, Felix, Louis, Otto, Arthur, Alfred...

I love Frederick, my brother's name.

Thanks both.
From what you suggest I like Jerome and Bruno.
Felix is my bro's middle name, but I do like it.
Rufus also nice.

What were your reservations?

ThatsNotMyBabyBelly · 22/09/2011 09:17

Angus?

findmeintheflowerbed · 22/09/2011 09:49

dh's reservations with dexter were that it has a similar sound to his late sister's name (in that they both have an x, and end in an 'a' sound) ...something i hadn't even thought of, but i don't want him to have sad associations with it. He doesn't seem mega bothered by thsi actually, but i don't want it to be something that becomes an issue. We may still go with it.

Love angus, dh does not.

Am going to talk to him about rufus i think.

Thanks
