Tabitha - love (my top name too, but unfortunately not DH's)
Saskia - ok
Nancy - old aunt

Petra - interesting and different. Like

Oscar - Wilde (Sorry, not helpful I know but it is an immediate association)

Nancy currently my name of choice for dd2, LOVE it, the others I'm not keen on.

Love Oscar, but I have to admit its the name of our black lab :). Would happily use it for a dc though.

Girls: Love Nancy and Mary. Like Tabitha. Not keen on Saskia or Petra, both trying too hard IMO.

Boys: Oscar has become very widespread, does that.bother you? I'd probably use Robert, it's a more interesting choice.

Robert and Nancy are both very nice

Petra and Robert - lovely, classic names that aren't already used by lots of other little children (unlike Oscar, for example).

Tabitha and Saskia are lovely.
No to Petra as you have a Polly.

Really don't like Tabitha- too cutsie and it's a cat's name.

Bert is very cool, like Robert too.

Oscar is the most common name round these parts at the (london) and it will always my cat's name.

Nancy is lovely, not keen on either of your boy choices as full names, but I like Bert.

thanks everyone for your comments - a range of opinions as expected but none that have devastated us! I'm thinking of Robert for my boy's option - still not sure about the girl. Still some time so no problems eh!
