Lawrence or Laurence?

Which spelling do u prefer? I love Laurie for a boy (blame Little Women!) But think Lawrence is the stronger looking long form....Lawrie looks wrong tho my eye?

Its a nice name tho non?

Lawrence is a surname. Laurence is the classic boy's name.

Another vote for Lawrence. But I too know a female Laurence and so find that version very feminine, like Florence.

The male version of Laurence in France is Laurent.
