Here's the shortlist of baby names I'm considering that I generated with Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder. Let me know what you think.

Boys
Elias
Eliott
Ellis
Etienne
Lucas
Noah

Elias - Like.
Eliott - Lovely but prefer the spelling Elliott.
Ellis - No.
Etienne - Love, but not so sure as it would work in the UK.
Lucas - Very popular at the moment, how about Louis?
Noah - Again very 'of the moment', already sounds tired to me.

Elias - like
Eliott - like
Ellis - not so keen
Etienne - dislike
Lucas - OK
Noah - OK

Rhubarbgarden · 14/09/2011 16:30

Etienne is the only one I like here.

Bert2e · 14/09/2011 16:40

Eliott!

I have an Elliot so obviously love that
Like Elias as well but not so keen on the others

Elias - sounds a bit too street corner preacher man to me.
Eliott - like this.
Ellis - nah
Etienne - ok it you are French
Lucas - like this.
Noah - ugh. awful.

I like Elias a lot, don't mind Lucas. Not fond of the rest.

Actually, I don't mind Ellis come to think of it but from what I've seen it's being used more for girls than boys atm.

Moominsarescary · 15/09/2011 02:20

Were thinking of Noah

Tinydancer85 · 15/09/2011 16:26

Thanks ladies!!! My favourite is Elliott, but it's not got a great reception from my family so far; I'm French so wanted a name that worked for both, and Lucas is my 2nd choice, but I'm worried I'll get bored of hearing it all the time; Ellis was a compromise from Elliott but worried it's too girly!!!

I can't decide, it's driving me mad lol!!!
Looks like Elliott is a hit with you ladies too, so that gives me more confidence :)

I do, I've always like that name!! But it's not the easiest one to carry, hence Elliott, which I've found out is a diminutive of Elias.
