What do you think?

Would it be better only as a middle name??

(I know Addams)

Dismay - lovely name! ;)

mathanxiety · 08/09/2011 03:21

Which day is hump day, Wednesday or Thursday?

antshouse · 08/09/2011 10:50

So when he/she is a older someone mentions wednesday and their ears prick up and they think they are being talked about.

HengshanRoad · 08/09/2011 11:49

I know a girl called Frideswide who gets called Friday. Both hideous, IMO.

vanfurgston · 08/09/2011 12:41

why why why??

thesurgeonsmate · 08/09/2011 12:46

Sounds fine to me. Has a "namey" sort of ring to my ear. Presumably you have your reasons. I might find a week-end day more frivolous, but a working week day seems sensible enough.

pilates · 08/09/2011 13:20

Sorry awful

VegetablePatch · 08/09/2011 13:41

I really like Tuesday, Wednesday is ok...but I would only consider them as middle names and only if child was born on the day. But it wouldn't really happen as DP and rest of family would veto them...

2BoysTooLoud · 08/09/2011 14:08

'Wednesday's child is full of woe.'
That would put me off.

scarlettlips · 08/09/2011 14:37

Only if she's born on a Wednesday..otherwise it's just even more odd!!!

talkingnonsense · 08/09/2011 14:47

How should it be pronounced, as a name? Wed-ness day?

MummyPenguin · 08/09/2011 15:18

There was a Tuesday and a Wenesday in my DC's primary school. I heard the name London in an American sitcom and I quite like that.

AngryFeet · 08/09/2011 15:25

"What day is it today?"
"Wednesday"
"Yes?"

One example of annoying conversation that could occur.

No, just no.

BodyUnknown · 10/09/2011 17:30

And nn Wendy? Oh dear.

vess · 10/09/2011 22:19

Don't know why people think names like that are cool. To me, days of the week and months sound rather dull and boring. What's so cool about them, except that they are not meant to be names?

Italiangreyhound · 11/09/2011 01:00

Sorry, I don't like it. It has connotations of the Addams family, Wednesday's child is full of woe etc. I think she would get tired of being teased in relation to her name on a Wednesday! Why not call her another name and if you still like it, use it as a nickname based on the day she was born, first ate solids or whatever.

Just my opinion.
