Need a first name to go with mn Jenny, Any ideas?

I really want upcoming DD to have Jenny as a middle name (my sister) But don't want Jenny as a first name (at all- not going to happen) but yet want the mn to be known eg though a nn.

DP is a bit iffy about them being known as XJ (by their initials) So the only thing we could do is to compound fn and Jenny (ie by putting first parts/end parts of them together)

But we can't think of anything that goes in a way that we could do this with.

Last name ends with an -eat sound.

Any ideas???

I went for starting with the nn

Marny - You could do Mary/Maria etc or Marcy, Marena, Maren,Margaret,Marla, Martina
Sonny/Sony - Sonia,Sophie,Sosanna
Sunny/suny - Susan,Susannah,Summer
Rainy - Raisa,Raisel
Ronny - Rona, Ronwen

Or you could have Jean so that you flip the names over the an could be anna or names like that
Jemi - mi could be Milly
But that doesn't have the same feel as you switch the names around

But none of them are very obvious and if you want everyone to call her it and use the mn, you may just have to call her by her initials, which lots of people do (eg TJ).

They could be Tony - so Tora, Tola, Tomasina.

But I think I agree with janeandmichael you may just be better with initials (you also have a far far higher chance that everyoe will call them it and always use it(

AJ, EJ (just), JJ(just) LJ MJ(spiderman so definatly goes and people would know it so again more chance they would use it) RJ SJ

I would just use initials.
The Jenny would be really obvious then as people would ask what the initials stand for.

When you say put the first parts/end parts of the names together, this can be done but even if there's only one letter different, it won't be obvious it came from Jenny.

E.g. first name Penelope, second name Jenny, nickname Penny.

Penny isn't at all the same name as Jenny.

Oo I do love the MJ idea.

I do quite like just 'Jen' or 'Jenn' as a mn though:

Is your sister's name actually Jennifer?

I'd just go a FN that you both love and have Jennifer/Jenny as a MN, or as MrsOzz suggests Jenn ...or Jenna perhaps?

My sister is Jenny (Jennifer) and we named our daughter Esme Jennifer after her.

nope MelinaM she is just Jenny (so gets called Jen with one n). Dodn't think of that cereal
I do like (and DH seemed to agree esp due to spiderman) MJ seems more namey than just initial nn-ey. Time to look at M names I think.
