I think we're down to these four now, but any suggestions of fabulous names that are in similar vein?

Jasper
Leo
Samuel
Bertram (Bertie)
Toby

Rory, Arthur and Peter, I love but my DH is currently not having any of it

I like Bertram and Toby.

othersideofchannel · 31/08/2011 20:46

I like Jasper and Peter.

bigkidsdidit · 31/08/2011 20:47

I have a Bertie (but Albert not Bertram) so I say that one! But jasper was v high on my list too, it's a lovely name :)

Similar names - Theo? Marcus?

pinkhebe · 31/08/2011 20:47

I like Jasper and Toby

MummysLittleSunbeams · 31/08/2011 20:51

Jasper, Toby & Bertram.

Really don't like Arthur & Peter.

tummytickler · 31/08/2011 21:00

Bertram or Peter.

Cereal · 31/08/2011 23:42

Samuel Jasper would be my favourite of those :)

Jasper - like
Leo - like
Samuel - like
Bertram (Bertie) - Bertie is getting a bit faddy I think. Not keen on Bertram, prefer it as short for Albert or Robert
Toby - not keen

vespalover · 31/08/2011 23:55

Love Leo

somewherewest · 01/09/2011 10:07

Jasper - ok
Leo - lovely
Samuel - will inevitably be Sam, which I quite like, but you mightn't.
Bertram (Bertie) - both variations sound scarily rah to me....sorry!
Toby - rah but less so.
Rory - like
Peter - like
Arthur - This one always makes me picture Arfur Daley, probably because I just don't know any real life Arthurs.

Psammead · 01/09/2011 10:10

Four? Grin

Sorry.

I like Jasper, Samuel and Toby (although I prefer Tobias).

I also have an anti-Rory DH, so I share your pain.

TeelaBrown · 01/09/2011 15:11

Jasper, Leo - love

Samuel, Toby/Tobias - like but quite overused? not necessarily a bad thing... in fact, I may be wrong, I am thinking more amongst people my own age

Bertram - nope, sorry, not my cup of tea. One of these popular, 'Grandad' names.

mumofbumblebea · 01/09/2011 15:46

i like samuel, toby and jasper. love arthur and rory is growing on me

Halestones · 01/09/2011 15:49

I love Toby - but it got veto'd by DP who said it was a dogs name - Nonsense! I love Jasper, but unfortunately it was the name of DPs old cat.

I like Nathaniel, but not Nathan

Nightstar · 02/09/2011 12:47

Sorry, it was four and then i remembered another we were still considering!

We are now down to:

Jasper
Leo
Bertie
Samuel

scarlettlips · 02/09/2011 13:23

In order..

Jasper
Toby
Leo
Samuel
Bertram (Bertie)

Could you use Rory, Arthur and Peter as a nn?

Best of luck x

Xavielli · 02/09/2011 15:50

Samuel

Continuum · 02/09/2011 16:31

Samuel

er... not that I am biased and will be having one of my own next month!

Though Toby is also lovely!

3isamagicnumber · 09/09/2011 10:05

Samuel is the most common
Leo just makes me think of Tony Blair! (I love Leon though)
Bertie I dont like
Jasper was the name of my first budgie!!

I think if I had to pick out of these I'd go for Leo.

LilRedWG · 09/09/2011 10:08

I have an Arthur so am biased towards that. :)

evamummy · 09/09/2011 10:15

Love Jasper and Bertram (Bertie). Sam and Toby are quite widely used already. Leo is ok but a little dull imo.
