I went to primary school with a girl of this name and always thought it was a beautiful name. It's lovely with the mn Charlotte. Go for it!

vigglewiggle · 16/08/2011 22:54

It sounds great, but I would have pronounced it Lee-oh-ni.

If you don't mind that you will probably have to keep correcting people then go for it.

manicinsomniac · 16/08/2011 23:20

Lovely name but I would also prefer Lee-oh-ni

DinahRod · 16/08/2011 23:22

predictive text always brings it up as Looney

I love the name Leonie but Charlotte is my first choice with Lottie as a Nn.

Alexander lovely too although never been convinced by Scott.....

DinahRod · 16/08/2011 23:45

Alexander and Charlotte are lovely

Suncottage · 16/08/2011 23:58

Scott of the Antartic is my great-great-great uncle. Hence the name being handed down but it is used as a first name in my family.

I have Katherine as one my names as she was of the one Scott of the Antartic aunts.

My brother is Scott so I am considering it.

Scott Alexander 'Suncottage' a very Scottish name

Wow! What a claim to fame! You've got to use it in that case.

Greenwing · 17/08/2011 20:54

Léonie is absolutely lovely (probably one of the names of the daughters I never had).

MissCalamity · 18/08/2011 17:34

I really like Leonie as well, if I had a baby girl tomorrow that's what she'd be called: Leonie Katherine Grin

Ephiny · 18/08/2011 20:34

I love Leonie, one of my absolute favourite names. I would pronounce lee-oh-nee as well, but it's nice either way. I like Leona as well.

I would be inclined to make Scott the middle name personally. Alexander Scott sounds good.
