tabitha is biblical

Joel is my favourite name ever

It seem to me that you have lots of gorgeous boy names but your girl names aren't really names. How about:

Tabitha
Michal
Sharon Wink
Tamar
and if you're from Ethiopia - Sheba!

Mahlah - lovely

Amos - very nice
David - classic
Hanniel - nice but a lot of people will hear Daniel
Samuel -nice, popular
Meshach - nice, more unusual

Emmanuel or Emmanuelle for a girl? (God with us)
I also like Josiah, Josie for a girl?
Gabriel(le) - getting a bit more common these days I think?
Jude, Joel, Apollo
Philippa, Lydia

If you like place names - Carmel, Eden, Magdala or Bethany for a girl?

There are absolutely dozens of 'people' names, many of them quite popular, don't know where to even start. Did you want something 'unusual' sounding though?

MaElsie · 24/08/2011 21:36

Girls - how about Bethlehem, Eden, Gethsemane, Bethany, Carmel

Boys - how about Jude, Abel, Felix, Samson, Josiah, Elijah

comedaygoday · 24/08/2011 21:46

For boys I like Amos, Abraham, Elijah, Elisha, Josiah, Jonah, Isaiah,Seth and Silas.

For girls I like Esther, Miriam, Sarah, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth. Tabitha and Zipporah.

We loved Malachi which we thought was really unusual (turns out it's quite popular round here though!) but sadly it doesn't go with our surname. Esther was our alternative if DS had turned out to be a girl.

NotJustKangaskhan · 24/08/2011 21:58

I like Mahlah. I like the sound of Selah, but it means to pause and contemplate what was just said/read (so to me it is a verb, not a name). For unusual Biblical girl's names: Bithiah, Iscah, Keturah, Ketziah, Shifra, Moriah, Tirzah, Serah, Sheba/Sheva.

I like pretty much all of your boys names, except Psalms (again, it has a nice sound, but it doesn't seem like a name to me). Elihu, Reuel, Itai, Gilead would also fit in your list.

Have Josiah in my circle, very nice- never caused a stir.

LynetteScavo · 24/08/2011 22:06

Exodus is an awful name.

In fact I don't like any of the names.

Malachi is cool.

Joseph is an excellent name. I also like;

Sarah
Anna
Delilah
Keziah

Asher
Luke
Joel
Josiah
Jonah
Zebedee
